The Gallery
Submissions
Send us your original
music, poems, stories, photography, drawings, paintings,
and reviews of books, movies (current or on video), or
CDs. We'll post 'em here, so the world can share in your
vision.
Important: Anything you send us must
be your own original work. We can not accept anything
that was created by someone else, either published or
unpublished. When you send us something, you are giving
us permission to publish it in The InSite's Gallery (and
we thank you for it).
When sending us something,
please include the following information:
- Your Name
- Email address
- Age (we're only accepting content from teens and young adults)
- City/State/Country you live
in (optional)
- A brief paragraph about
yourself and your submission
(optional)
Writing (Poetry, Stories,
Reviews):
There's more than one way to send us
your creative stuff.
- Copy the text (from your computer
file) and paste it into an email
message to
- (you may lose any fancy
formatting: font size, font style - like bold
or italic, indentation) but if you don't
care... we don't care.
OR
- If formatting is important (font
size, font style - like bold or italic,
and indentation) to your creative vision, then
email
us your file as an attachment. We're cool with any
file that is: Microsoft Word, RTF format, or HTML (a
web page).
Art/Photography/Animation:
There's more than one way to send us
your creative imagery. The #1 easiest method is
email:
- Scan the image into a computer
format. Attach the file to an email
message. We can accept
most graphic formats, though JPEG is the best choice.
Others are GIF, TIFF, BMP, PICT, Photoshop, EPSF, MooV
(QuickTime Movie), AVI, TGA, IFF/LBM.
OR
OR
- Send it to us on a CD-ROM or floppy disk
through the postal
service. (a.k.a.
"someday... without fail mail") We can accept most
graphic formats, though JPEG is the best choice.
Others are GIF, TIFF, BMP, PICT, Photoshop, EPSF, MooV
(QuickTime Movie), AVI, TGA, IFF/LBM.
OR
- Send us a high quality
reproduction of your high quality work (photograph,
color photocopy) through the postal
service (a.k.a. "in
spite of rain, sleet, snow or hail mail") and we'll
scan it for you. Image size must be no larger than
8x10".
Music:
There's more than one way to send us
your melodic sounds. The #1 easiest method is
email:
- Digitize your music (or use a MIDI
file). Attach the file to an email
message. We can accept
all sound formats, but MP3 is our favorite.
OR
OR
- Send it to us on a floppy disk
through the postal
service (a.k.a. "if you
don't send a letter then we'll know you're in jail
mail"). We can accept
all sound formats, but MP3 is our favorite.
However...
- Please don't send us an
audio tape. Currently, we are not set up to digitize
your music.
Sending
via Email
Simply attach the file to an email
message and send to .
File size must be no larger than 2M or it will be
rejected by our mail server.
Sending
via Snail Mail:
If you must mail it to us (rather than using some sort of
electronic delivery), first send us an email at to
describe what you have, and we'll get you our postal address.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!! When you send
us something it's for keeps unless you include a S.A.S.E.
(self-addressed stamped envelope). (Sorry, but this is a
web site about youth empowerment...not a mail order
business.)
