To Boddah
by Sarah, 12

my first selection is a poem about the death of kurt cobain (and for anyone who may get mixed up, i'm

not talking about the god Buddah, i'm talking about the child hood imaginary friend, Boddah)

--------------------------------------------------------------

And to Boddah

I'm here to say good bye boddah

I've come to say good bye Boddah

So bye bye Boddah

bye bye Boddah

bye bye Boddah

I don' wanna see her Boddah

grow up just like me

I don' wanna stick round

ta see her

grow up to be

just like me

And I feel i can't go on now Boddah

I don' feel the same now Boddah

I don' wanna see her

my little girl

grow up to be

just like me

so bye bye Boddah

I can't stay long now Boddah

I'm here to say good bye Boddah

and bye bye Boddah

Tell my wife I love her

and tell my little girl I love her

and tell 'em all I love 'em

and bye bye Boddah

bye bye Boddah

I don' wanna fade way Boddah

It's better to just burn out Boddah

Keep going on my love

keep going on for her

Our little girl

Her life'll be better

better with out me

It's time to say good bye Boddah

so bye bye Boddah

bye bye Boddah

I'm never gonna fade way Boddah

never gonna fade way Boddah

so bye bye Boddah

bye bye boddah

I love you

I love you

The Sky Kissed The Ground
by Sarah, 12

my second selection and final is a poem about the school shootings

-----------------------------------------------------

Today was the day the sky kissed the ground

and silence was the only sound

as time stood still

and hateful sharp gun's blow could kill

Today was the day the sky kissed the ground

as young lives fell down

and the morning news had left all eyes feeling blue
