                Seasons Greetings
*************************************************************************

The management and staff of The InSite and #TheInSite/#TheInSite2 wish
all our subscribers Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May 1998 be a
wonderful year for you, and we look forward to your continuing support
over the next twelve months.

We would also like to ask that you remember those less fortunate than
yourselves this Christmas and make a donation, no matter how small, to
a worthy charity. Christmas may be a Christian religious festival, but
all the great spiritual paths recognize charity, freely given and without
thought for gain, as one of the most important things that a person can
do in this lifetime.

Renew your spirit - give something for those less fortunate.

The Story....The Story....The Story....The Story....The Story....

Uh oh- has Chaz got the messages mixed up about Becca? And what is he
going to do about Wendie? The dance might not have been a raging
success, but is Becca right in deciding not to go to school dances
again?

Dee went out to dinner with Miquel to his Uncle's restaurant and met
Rosa, an old lady with some unique abilities. How did Rosa know about
Grandma Webster's singing? And should Miquel have listened to his cousin
Marita's advice about Dee instead of telling Marita to mind her own
business?

Looks like they could all use some advice. Read their journal entries-
then send them your advice. It's easy! Just click on "The Story" on The
InSite's home page, read the entries, then email them- they really DO
appreciate it!

"Discovering your sexual orientation, can be a very lonely and scary
process. Especially if you are wondering whether you are homosexual or
bisexual. At the relatively young age of 11, Gina DeVries started
realizing that maybe her attractions to women and girls meant something
more. After a year of internal struggle, Gina came out as a lesbian.
Now, at 14, Gina has become a spokesperson for gay, lesbian, bisexual,
and transgender rights."

New This Week!----New This Week!----New This Week!----New This Week!

This week you will find four new transcripts from recent #TheInSite
conferences posted in The InSite web site- two "Healthy Relationships:
Taking Action" scripts, and one each of the "Planned Parenthood
GoldenGate" and the "Making the Peace: Eliminating Racism" transcripts.
Over the next few weeks, quite a number of scripts from past conferences
will be appearing on the site- keep watch for them, as they contain
excellent material on a wide range of material of interest to young
people today.

your online nickname to appear in the conference, there are two ways of

b) email me at [email protected], and ask that your name not be
included in a particular conference transcript. The name that you use

Don't forget! Don't forget! Don't forget! Don't forget!

All right - this IS a shameless advertising plug, but hey! there IS a lot
of good information to be found by clicking on the advertising banners
at the top of The InSite's web page or by clicking on the banners while
you are in #TheInSite or #TheInSite2 while using EZTalk or WebTv. The
InSite is very careful about who it lets advertise on its site, and you
can be assured that the advertisers on this site offer top quality
products. When you click on one of these banners, you are also
supporting the work that The InSite is doing in providing teens and
young adults with viable solutions to the problems that they encounter
in the journey of life. Thanks for supporting The InSite!

Hi all! My name is Andrew. I've been using TalkCity for over a year now.
(still remembers the good ol' eWorld days..*sniffle*). I'm 19 years old
and live in Sydney, Australia. I spend a lot of my time lurking about on
Talkcity using the nick ufo8mycat.

I also host on #TheInSite and #TheInSite2, where I can be found mainly
late at night, because of the time differences between Sydney and the
States. So if you are up late at night, drop in to the rooms and say
"g'day!"

My other interests include music, film, and playing guitar in a few
bands. I also enjoy the occasional game of snooker with friends and
watching a few games of cricket now and then. (Cricket is this wonderful
game that for some reason people in the US don't seem to understand.
It's simple really- if you have a few days to spare I will try to fill
you in on the rudiments of the game)

Hope to see you around in TalkCity sometime :o)

Andrew

(If you are one of the three people on this planet who have never seen
StarWars, skip this section)

OK OK- I don't normally tell jokes here, but I thought that this one had
a certain seasonal flavor to it

Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker were having one of their little father
and son chats. Lightsabers drawn and sparks flying.

Vader pinned Luke against a bulkhead and glared into his face, "I know
what you're getting for Christmas, Luke," he said, "Ohhh, yes! I know!"

Luke fought himself free and jumped to a higher platform just out of
Vader's reach, "How do you know!?" Luke yelled at him, "How do you know
what I'm getting for Christmas!?"

Darth Vader shot Luke an icy glare, "I felt your presents."
