Dear Concerned,

You're a very good friend to care about her this way. Here's my advice: if she doesn't like the way she's being treated she should dump him. (Isn't that what you told her to do?) What's the point of having a boyfriend who doesn't treat you with love and respect?? After she dumps him all kinds of things may happen... The future is uncertain... she may find that she has more time for her friends. She may also find that she likes not having someone ignoring her when she tries to talk to him.

She may miss being someone's girlfriend, but the way I look at it, it's better to have no boyfriend than a boyfriend who treats you bad.
