I love this boy in my class but he says he has a girlfriend. But he might being lying like me because I tell everybody that I have a boyfriend but I don't. How can I tell if he really has a girlfriend without asking him....????

Dear Lover,

Why do you lie to people about that? The reason I'm asking is that most girls who say that do it because they want people to think they are popular enough to have a boyfriend. Guys don't usually lie about that sort of thing unless they are saying it to avoid a girl who is coming on to them. ("Sorry. But I already have a girlfriend.")

Lying is never a good idea cause it makes people not trust you.
