Hey Terra, Things are going all right for the new year. I've managed to spark a little conversation about the situation with my mom and we've gotten closer since then. Though there are a few fights here and there.I've also gotten the chance to know her boyfriend a bit better and I came to the conclusion that he is really nice. I guess at first the change was too much for me and so I spazzed. Being an only child, I thought that if my mom was taken, I would have nothing but I've shaken that off my shoulders now. I feel as though a lot has been taken off my shoulders now. Thanks so much for your help Terra! Left Out Kid |

Dear Left Out Kid, I am so proud of you for having the courage to talk with your mom about your feelings. And what a good thing that the two of you have gotten closer as a result. Brava, girl, you've used your power to make things better! Also, the fact that you gave yourself a chance to get to know your mom's boyfriend -- Wow, a lot of people in your shoes would have just stayed stuck with their attitude "I don't like him" and never been willing to open their hearts or minds.
